Nova Lee has been a massage professional for over 20 years and a massage instigator at parties & campfires for even longer. Selfiesage's mission was born to heal communities and fulfill our collective need for connection and healing by teaching people how to massage themselves. With work related injuries on the rise, Nova found that limited time, money, and knowledge, made it difficult for people to get the body work they needed. Self massage makes effective body work accessible to everyone. Recently Nova become her mother's caretaker, as she suffered through multiple strokes. During this time Nova experienced intense loneliness and self-massage supported her through it. "What ever your story may be, when you deepen your connection to self, you are never alone."

Matthew Wakem: Director of Media
Matthew loves finding new ways to stand on a body while balancing a camera.

Matthew's career as a professional photographer lead him to see the world but the adventure took it's toll. After many years of carrying a heavy camera, his back was in pain. As luck would have it, he was hired to photograph spas in Thailand. This is where he discovered therapeutic thai massage, which has been a game changer for him. Matthew manages our multi-media production and makes us glossy and beautiful.

Wayne has been bay area local and a tech party instigator since his days at Cal. He has kept a busy social calendar from globe trotting to working in tech around California for Qualcomm and now Apple computers in Cupertino. Wayne makes our online experience seamless.

Liz is an amazing massage therapist and has earned her massage muscles by working on Long Shoreman in Oakland. Liz answers you selfiesage questions and organizes our out reach and webinars. She is also a yoga instructor and works on her own meditative practice to bring the zen vibe to our online presence.
